Account Security
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe.
Flexible Payments
Pay via Stripe on the web, or Apple/Google billing on mobile.
Amazon Associates
Pro creators use their own affiliate ID and keep 100% of commissions.
Governing Law
Operated under the jurisdiction of England and Wales.
Acceptable Use
No spam, scams, harassment, or Amazon policy violations.
Content Rights
You retain ownership of the posts and media you publish.
Terms of Service
Effective Date: April 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Gift Guru website and mobile application (the "Service"), operated by Gift Guru ("we", "our", or "us"). Gift Guru is a social platform where creators publish posts about Amazon products and, on the Pro plan, earn affiliate commissions through the Amazon Associates Program. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Gift Guru. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and have legal capacity to enter this agreement. Creators using the Pro plan must also meet Amazon Associates Program eligibility.
Account Registration
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- Keep your password confidential and your account secure.
- Notify us at macfarlanejames28@gmail.com of any unauthorized access.
- One account per person. No automated sign-ups.
User Content & Amazon Links
You keep ownership of the posts, photos, captions, and Amazon links you publish. You grant Gift Guru a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.
- You must have the rights to everything you upload.
- Gift Guru may rewrite Amazon URLs to insert an affiliate tag.
- You can delete your posts at any time.
Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Post spam, scams, counterfeit listings, or misleading reviews.
- Harass, threaten, dox, or impersonate other users.
- Share illegal, infringing, adult, or harmful content.
- Manipulate clicks, conversions, or follower counts with bots.
- Violate Amazon’s Associates Operating Agreement or Program Policies.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
Subscriptions & Payments
5.1 Plans
Gift Guru offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Plan features and prices are shown on the Pricing and Membership pages and may change with notice.
5.2 Billing
Pro subscriptions on the web are billed through Stripe. On iOS and Android, subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store respectively. Gift Guru never stores your card details.
5.3 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
5.4 Refunds
Refund eligibility follows the policies of the billing channel (Stripe, Apple, or Google). We do not process refunds outside those channels.
Amazon Associates Program Disclosure
Gift Guru is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to earn fees by linking to Amazon and affiliated sites.
- Free plan: Every Amazon link you share carries the Gift Guru platform affiliate tag. Commissions earned through those links belong to Gift Guru and fund the operation of the Service.
- Pro plan: When you set your Amazon Associates tracking ID in your settings, Gift Guru will automatically use your ID on all new Amazon links you share. Commissions are paid directly to you by Amazon under your own Associates account.
- You are solely responsible for keeping your Amazon Associates account in good standing and for complying with all Amazon policies (including disclosure requirements).
- Gift Guru does not guarantee any specific level of earnings and is not responsible for changes Amazon makes to commission rates, payouts, or program terms.
Social Features
Posts, followers, comments, bookmarks, likes, and direct messages are core features of the Service. Content you post publicly is visible to other users. You are responsible for what you say and share. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms or Amazon’s policies.
Earnings & Payouts
Gift Guru displays estimated clicks and conversions for convenience only. Actual commissions are determined, reported, and paid out by Amazon, not by Gift Guru. We do not process creator payouts and make no guarantees about the accuracy of in-app estimates compared to Amazon’s official reporting.
Intellectual Property
The Gift Guru name, logo, interface, and software are owned by us. "Amazon" and related marks are the property of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Content you publish remains yours, subject to the license granted in Section 3.
Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific earnings, or accuracy of Amazon product information. Gift Guru is not a financial advisor and does not give investment or business advice.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is capped at the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 100. We are not liable for lost commissions, indirect or consequential damages, or actions taken by Amazon.
Termination & Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or Amazon’s policies. Cancelling a Pro subscription stops future charges; existing commissions already paid out by Amazon are unaffected.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer laws in your country of residence apply.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
